How can Keith help?

Keith’s role as an MP is to represent all the people in his constituency; not just those who voted for him. Whether or not you voted for Keith Vaz or agree with the views of the Labour party, Keith Vaz is your MP and he is here to help you with all matters for which Parliament or Central Government is responsible.

Keith is not able to help in private disputes with other individuals or, for example, to interfere with decisions made by courts.

Keith encourages his constituents to write to him with their concerns. You can find the address here. Every week, he receives hundreds of letters, e-mails and phone calls. He and his staff reply to them all as quickly as possible. When writing to him, please include your full address, including postcode, so he can ensure you are his constituent.

Visiting Parliament

Keith Vaz is able to arrange tours around the Houses of Parliament for local groups, schools, organisations or for individuals in Leicester East. If you would like Keith Vaz to try and arrange a tour, please contact the parliamentary office at least four weeks in advance on telephone number 020 7219 4605

Early Day Motions and Parliamentary Questions

Early Day Motions (EDMs) are used by MPs to express their views to the Government on a variety of subjects. MPs can also ask Parliamentary Questions to Ministers. If you are one of Keith Vaz’s constituents, and concerned about a particular issue, you can write to him expressing your concerns.
