At Keith’s invitation, the Indian World Cup winning cricket team visited Parliament yesterday.

M.S. Dhoni and his team, thanks to a kind dispensation from the Speaker, climbed up to the roof of Parliament and stood in front of Big Ben. They were also welcomed into Number 10 Downing Street and sat around the Cabinet table.

The last Indian cricket team to visit Parliament was with Kapil Dev 20 years ago.

Keith said: “Team India are a group of young men who have united a nation and enthralled the world. They have sealed forever the unbreakable bond between India and Britain and the Indian diaspora. I am very proud to welcome them to the historic British Parliament.”
