Keith Vaz MP

Keith sat on the judging panel of the inaugural MP6 Public Speaking Competition final at Hamilton Community College in Leicester.Alongside fellow judges, Councillor Barbara Potter and Deputy Mayor Rory Palmer, he was presented with six outstanding speeches by Gavin Reid-Jones, Claire Halford, Samir Trivedi, Mbarak Shakuwe, Stephen Soleye, and Jordan Emery on topics including immigration, pensions, strikes, Libya and education. Stephen Soleye won first prize, the Councillor John Thomas Cup and a visit to the Houses of Parliament. He was closely followed by Jordan Emery, in second place.
