Keith joined Councillor Teresa Aldred and anti-knife crime campaigners, including Leicester resident Amy Morgan to hand in a petition to Number 10 Downing Street. The petition calls upon greater sentences to be introduced for those found guilty of knife crime and stricter penalties for thos carrying knives. This is to help combat the rise in knife crime, both in Leicester East and Nationwide.
This petition called for an increase in sentencing for those found carrying knives to ensure knife crime is treated seriously. Amy Morgan’s son, Tyler Thompson was killed in November 2015 by someone carrying and using a knife.
