The Mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed, delivered the inaugural Rainbow Lecture in the British Houses of Parliament on Thursday 15th November 2012 in a session hosted by Keith.
This lecture marks the first in a series of Rainbow Lectures to be given annually by distinguished speakers from all over the world at the historic Palace of Westminster in London. The Mayor’s lecture was entitled ‘Diversity in the American political system’.
The Rainbow Lectures form part of a wider series of diversity lectures given with the University of Bedfordshire. The Mayor has been appointed Visiting Lecturer in Politics at the University, the first US Mayor to be honoured in this way.
