Pensioners call Public Meeting at Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre

Posted on April 6th, 2017 in Local News

A group of pensioners who have used the Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre in Rothley Street called an emergency meeting to discuss changes to the cost of them using rooms at the Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre.  Keith met with Council Officers, local councillor Manjula Sood and local residents of Belgrave to hear the concerns of the elderly residents who after 35 years were being asked to pay for using the facilities at the Centre even though the rooms were empty. A Taskforce was established by Keith which will be attended by local Councillors, Officers, users and Age UK. A final solution to the problem will be arrived at by June 2017.
