Throughout all the years I have been your Member of Parliament, Leicester has had 3 hospitals: the General, the Royal Infirmary and Glenfield.  These have provided excellent care for local people. The staff have been outstanding.

I believe it is important that we now tell the local Health Authority that “enough is enough”, and that we cannot accept any further reduction in the services provided at the General Hospital.

What we need is a first class Health Service that seeks specifically to provide service for local people. Reducing services in Evington is obviously NOT the answer.
