The House of Commons Library has released the latest figures for unemployment in Leicester East in March 2017.
The total number of unemployed claimants in Leicester East constituency in March 2017 was 1,045. This represents a rate of 2.0% of the economically active population aged 16-64, the 374th highest of the 650 UK constituencies. (1st = highest claimant rate, 650th = lowest claimant rate.) The equivalent UK claimant rate was 2.6%.
The number of claimants in Leicester East constituency is 255 lower than March 2016 and the same as in February 2017.
There were 225 claimants aged 18-24 in March 2017, 20 lower than March 2016.
