Keith Vaz MP for Leicester East has congratulated the people of Leicester on their excellent choice in deciding to award the Big Lottery Fund grant to Rushey Mead School and the School’s plans for a new sports centre. Furthermore Mr Vaz is delighted to have been chosen as the person to hand the large cheque to the school.
Keith Vaz said:
“I can’t think of a better way for this money to be spent. Rushey Mead is an excellent school and it will be even better now it has the means to develop a first class sporting facility. It is an honour to be chosen to hand this cheque over to Rushey Mead and I am really looking forward to seeing the finished project. I would like to thank my colleague Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Tessa Jowell for creating this scheme and giving the people of Leicester a choice in where their lottery money is spent”
